Our Mission Statement

The Mission of New Directions Alcohol & Drug Services, Inc. is to change lives that have been adversely effected by substance abuse and addiction within our target community. Our purpose is to create a presence within the community that will address problems head-on and break the cycle of addiction and create a healthy, positive and nurturing environment.

Philosophy

New Directions Alcohol and Drug Services bases its approach to treatment services upon the assumption that chemical addiction is an illness that involves the physical, emotional, social and spiritual makeup of an individual and is most effectively treated by responding to the nurturing needs of each.

Who We Are

Our services are designed to address the physical, mental, and emotional needs of  individuals, families and targeted  youth, i.e. At-risk and Emancipated youth, struggling with both current and generational abuses.  Providing individuals with the basic necessities of personal hygiene, food/ groceries and clothing and access to resources for day-to-day living.

What serves, grows and awakens a community is productive participation…

What weakens and destroys, however, is any sector within that community that struggles with untreated:

Impact Statements

My name is Raul Jovel and I am a client here at New Directions. The staff has been good to me; my counselor has been a great support and helped me to remain clean and sober I will continue this new way of living thanks to them I got my kids back and I couldn’t have of done it without this program I’m very grateful thank you New Directions.

New Directions for me was and have been a place of safeness and secureness.

I took Parenting, Alcohol and Drug Education, Domestic Violence and Individual counseling the program helped me to discover myself and deal with all if not most of my childhood trauma. I learned to accept myself for who I am, And most of all to love myself, I recommend New Directions to those who are in need of guidance and help with drugs or alcohol I also suggest to those who are currently or has been in any type of abusive relationship to consider the Domestic Violence Program.

I not only had to handle the issues of my past but it made me a better person in different areas of my life. You get three amazing experiences out of three amazing people that I personally enjoyed and have the pleasure to say I know.  I enjoyed all of my counselors

They have become Family.
